What is Variety?
Variety is a children's charity that supports children who are sick, disadvantaged, or who have special needs. Variety's charity work provides children mobility, social and cultural enrichment, and independence. Variety's overarching philosophy is inclusion.

What is the Variety Bash?
Each year, Variety hosts the B to B Variety Bash, an outback adventure spanning several thousand kilometres using 100 cars to explore Australia, as well as raising funds for Australian children in need.
During the trip, participants get to visit local towns, stopping into schools and organisations to visit the kids they're helping. This helps them to see the direct impact of their fundraising efforts along the
way.
The event was started in 1985 by businessman and philanthropist Dick Smith. The first Variety Bash raised $250,000. The annual tradition returned in 2019, travelling from Bondi to Batt Reef in Port Douglas.
In 2019, Variety granted $3.73 million to help kids in need, covering more than 200 different conditions. This meant being able to help 30,392 kids living in NSW & ACT.
